Sound effects board

Sound effects which would feature in Revenge:

Background sounds

  • People chatting

  • Coffee machine

  • Phone call ringing

  • Cricket insect sound
  • Silence
  • Door creaking

Evaluation of each sound effect suitability for Revenge and a rationale on why I have chosen it:

In the opening scene using cafe ambience, such as people chatting and the coffee machine would let the audience know where this it is taking place and set the scene. And make it more realistic. The cricket noises would again make the scene more authentic as silence in the beginning of the might make it awkward. Using cricket noises also give the viewer the understanding that it is night. However using silence when there is a phone call gives it a sense of suspense and mystery. (e.g. who is Katy calling).
